JULY 29, 2010

 

Construction of the Trunk Highway 59 (Humiston Avenue), Ryan’s Road, and Ray Drive improvement project is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, August 2nd. Initial construction will include only work on the median of Trunk Highway 59 between Ryan’s Road and Oxford Street. Trunk Highway 59 will be open to traffic, however, the left hand lanes in each direction will be closed. Uninterrupted access to all businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

 

The project includes installation of a traffic signal at the Ryan’s Road and Trunk Highway 59 intersection and replacement of the frontage road south of Ryan’s Road with an extension of Ray Drive to Ryan’s Road. 

 

Please reduce your speed, watch for construction equipment and drive carefully in the construction zone. A construction status map is available at

 

 

 

JULY 29, 2010

 

Pavement work on First Avenue from Tenth Street through Eleventh Street is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, August 2nd.  First Avenue from Tenth Street to Twelfth Street will be closed  to through traffic.  Eleventh Street at First Avenue will also be closed.

 

Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, the work will be completed and normal traffic restored by September 10th.

Pavement work on Humiston Avenue at Clary Street is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, August 2nd.  Humiston Avenue from Oxford Street to Fourteenth Street and Clary Street at Humiston Avenue will be closed to through traffic.  A detour route of Humiston Avenue will be signed.

 

Please drive carefully and use the detour route.  Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, the work should be completed and traffic restored in about ten days.

 

Humiston Avenue will be open up to Clary Street for local resident traffic only.

 

 

 

JULY 12, 2010

 

Pavement work on Clary Street from Church Avenue to Humiston Avenue is tentatively scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 14.  Clary Street will be closed to through traffic.  A detour route of Clary Street utilizing Humiston Avenue, Oxford Street and McMillan Street will be signed.

 

Please drive carefully and use the detour route.  Clary Street will be open to local traffic only.   Local traffic will experience brief intermittent interruptions.  Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, the work should be completed and normal traffic restored in mid August.
