Funeral Processions
The Worthington Police
Department provides standard squad cars and uniformed officers to lead
funeral processions. This is done for public safety reasons
during the slow procession through stop signed intersections.
Arrangements for this is usually made by the funeral home.
Public Events and Traffic Control
Some public events have
a large number of cars come to the event in a very limited time and
then leave the event at its end in a very limited time causing
situations where normal stop signs and traffic flow bogs down.
The Worthington Police Department provides uniformed officers to
handle the direction of traffic at the public events where there is
going to be a volume of traffic to assist in the safety of those
traveling. If you plan a large event please call the Worthington
Police Department at 507-372-2136.
