Street Department
The Street Department provides the following services:

  • Maintenance of streets and alleys

  • Snow removal from streets and alleys

  • Repair & maintenance of street signs

  • Sweeping of debris from streets

  • Annual city-wide trash pick up

Winter Street Care

Plowing begins in the early morning hours to clear arterial streets, school zones, city center, residential and alleyways, respectively. Plowing routes are established to ensure the same level of service to everyone.  Areas to be plowed and starting points are determined by the amount of snow accumulated, ice conditions, and wind direction and velocity.
