POLICE OFFICER

The City of Worthington is taking applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be Licensed or eligible for Minnesota POST licensure, and must complete a City of Worthington Employment Application and a Police Recruitment Supplemental Questionnaire.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN/ALTERNATE ENTRY LEVEL POSITION

Engineering Technician

The City of Worthington is accepting applications for full-time Engineering Technician. Position involves skilled operation of engineering, drafting and technical instruments and comparable work in a paraprofessional field and office engineering assignments.

Fully Qualified Position

Minimum Qualifications: Two years vocational or technical school in civil engineering technology - Three years experience in civil engineering technology.

Desired Qualifications: Two years vocational or technical school in civil engineering technology - Five years experience in civil engineering technology for a municipality.

Salary range is $24.08 to $28.33 per hour

Alternate Entry Level Position

Minimum Qualifications: Two years of vocational or technical school in civil engineering technology.

Entry Level Salary Range is $23.11 to $27.19 per hour

Certification Required - Within two years (subject to class schedule) - MnDOT certification for Aggregate Production Level I, Bituminous Street Level II, Concrete Field Level II, Concrete Plant Level I, Grading and Base Level II and Storm Water Construction BMP Installer.

Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Salary range is $50,087.44 to $58,926.40, plus benefits. Minimum qualifications: Two years of vocational or technical school in civil engineering technology - Three years of experience in civil engineering technology, proficiency in use of Autodesk Civil 3D/Infrastructure Design Suite, and ability to become MnDOT certified in materials testing.

MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT - PART-TIME

Box Office Associate Part-time

The Box Office Associate provides the best possible customer satisfaction to the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center customers by addressing inquiries and processes ticket orders. Answer incoming phone calls and establishes a positive relationship by giving their expertise on content of the shows, theatre seats, food, and packages. The right individual will enjoy interaction with the public, have an appreciation for the performing arts, assist management when asked, and be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of ticket sales.

Nature of Work
This is a part-time position that provides ticket sales for concerts, theatre performances, dance recitals and other ticketed events held at the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center. The role of the Box Office is to provide efficient and convenient methods of distributing tickets and event information.

To achieve that goal in the Box Office, we prioritize building our team with people who are passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care and promoting the performing arts center and the City of Worthington.

Work Schedule
Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center is currently seeking staff who will primarily work 4 hour shifts Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as occasional event shifts during evenings and weekends. Event shifts are scheduled "as needed" based on event bookings and are approximately 3 hours in length.

Wage Information
Starting wage is $12 per hour.

PRIMARY JOB TASKS

∙ Serve as the first point of contact to welcome all Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center visitors, customers, clients, staff and guests.
∙ Contribute to an exceptional customer service experience for all visitors and guests to the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center.
∙ Effectively operate the ticketing system and Point-of-Sale system
∙ Sell tickets to Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center events using the designated ticketing system
∙ Collect payments by cash, check, credit cards, gift certificates, or vouchers
∙ Accurately issue change due, receipts and refunds to maintain a balanced cash drawer
∙ Reconcile cash drawer against daily sales report at the end of shift
∙ Provide event information regarding performance times, venue location, ticket pricing and seating arrangements
∙ Explain Box Office policies and resolve routine problems regarding ticket sales
∙ Answer telephone calls, take accurate messages, and pass them on to the appropriate person in a timely manner
∙ Act as a "Visitor Center" by providing lodging, food, entertainment and other miscellaneous information to visitors of Worthington
∙ Maintain supplies in the Box Office and inform Auditorium Managing Director when supplies are low and need to be replenished (inclusive of ticket stock, envelopes, etc.)
∙ Perform other duties as assigned or necessary
∙ Possess a High School diploma or the equivalent (GED)
∙ Be at least 18 years old
∙ Have the ability to deal professionally and tactfully with the public

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of: box office ticketing systems preferred, but not necessary
Skill in: the use of MS Office software; and in providing excellent customer service.
Ability to: correctly count, verify and balance large sums of money; follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; understand and follow oral and written instructions; and stay calm in pressure situations and multi-task.
