Community Development, Planning, Zoning, and Building Services Director

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, PLANNING,
ZONING AND BUILDING SERVICES

City of Worthington, MN. (Pop.13,000) is seeking a Director of Community Development, Planning, Zoning and Building Services. Responsible for administering planning and zoning functions of the city. Acts as staff advisory to City Planning Commission, supervises related day to day operations, and is an active member is the team pursuing economic development for the city. Responsibilities include administration of City sponsored economic development programs, economic development grants, and tax increment financing. Position requires strong ability to communicate well and prepare effective public presentations. Provides overall supervision and coordination of Building
Official and Rental Housing Inspector. Minimum Qualifications: Education - B.S. Degree in Urban or Regional Planning or related field; Experience - One to three years in Municipal Planning and City Sponsored Economic Development Program Administration. Certification Required:

Certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or the ability to obtain in 1-2 years. Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Salary range $71,639.36 to $84,281.60 depending on qualifications, plus benefit package.

CAD/GIS Technician - Engineering Department

CAD/GIS Technician

The City of Worthington is accepting applications for full-time CAD/GIS Technician. Position involves skilled operation of engineering, drafting and technical instruments and comparable work in a paraprofessional field and office engineering assignments. Salary range is $48,380.80 to $56,929.60, plus benefits. Minimum qualifications: Two years of vocational or technical school in civil engineering technology - Three years of experience in civil engineering technology, proficiency in use of Autodesk Civil 3D/Infrastructure Design Suite, and ability to become MnDOT certified in materials testing.
