Police Officer

$27.32/hour or $4,735.47/month

General Duties:
Performs patrol, investigations, traffic and other law enforcement activities during an assigned shift. The main emphasis is implementation of plans and directions as prescribed for the protection of lives, property, prevention of crime, enforcement of all laws and maintenance of public order.

Minimum Requirements:
Up to one year of law enforcement work, requires knowledge gained through specialized courses in law enforcement acquired by completing two years of college, vocational or technical school.

Applicants must be licensed or eligible for Minnesota POST licensure, and must complete a City of Worthington Employment Application and a Police Recruitment Supplemental Questionnaire.

Worthington Municipal Liquor Store is accepting applications for Part-Time Liquor Store Clerks to help fill positions for our store. Hours average between 12-18 per week. Employee must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks associated with liquor store operations including, but not limited to: operating a cash register, making change, stocking shelves and coolers, checking ID for legal age on a regular basis and assisting customers with their questions as well as providing your recommendations. Position requires working nights, weekends and holidays, some heavy lifting and teamwork.

Starting pay is $11.30/hour; premium pay on Sundays and holidays.


The City of Worthington is accepting applications for the position of full-time public works operator. Employee must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks associated with the construction and maintenance of City buildings, parks, streets, and will be required to plow snow. Preferred qualifications are: valid Class A commercial driver's license, with a tanker endorsement and three years of public works or related experience.

Starting pay range is $21.00 - 24.70 per hour, dependent on qualifications, subject to the City’s wage and compensation plan. Benefit options include Paid Time Off, sick leave, health insurance options, life insurance, long-term disability, Section 125 Flex Spending Plan, Deferred Comp. Plan, and participation in Public Employees Retirement Association.
