Thank
you for taking the time to visit our City of Worthington web site.
I would like to ask you to visit us in person at your earliest
convenience. We pride ourselves as being a diverse community,
always ready to accept change and make visitors and new residents feel
at home.
Worthington is the regional economic hub in Southwestern Minnesota.
Having a strong agricultural presence from row crops to various kinds of
livestock we have attracted large corporations involved in processing,
research, and shipping to locate in our community. The companies
involved in research are actively discovering new technologies in the
bio-science field. We are also home to several manufacturing
companies that are involved in building homes, commercial buildings and
plastic products. The City of Worthington has 130 acres of land
available along Interstate 90 for the addition of any bio-science,
commercial, or industrial businesses. We are ready to assist in
your relocation to our city, if interested contact our City staff.
We also have an excellent school system along with our Minnesota West
Community & Technical College, two clinics and a progressive, growing
hospital. Let's not forget our recreation activities that include
our lake, bike paths, nineteen city parks, soccer fields, hockey arena,
tennis courts, and a disc golf course that will be a new addition to our
city owned campground. We also have a restored art deco War
Memorial Auditorium that offers a great variety of shows, plus the many
festivals that our city hosts throughout the year.
Use the links on this page for information on our various departments,
and let us know how we can help you.
Thank you for your interest in Worthington. We
hope to see you here very soon. --Alan Oberloh, Mayor
