Engineering

The Engineering Department is the contract manager for the construction of municipal facilities associated with new developments and other city construction. It is responsible for the city's proposed improvements and collecting bids for these improvements. Additionally the members of this department also perform a variety of professional, technical and inspection services on various aspects of the city's infrastructure.

The Engineering Department also oversees and monitors the city's stormwater management and works in conjunction with the Okabena-Ocheda Watershed District and the Heron LakeWatershed District to do so.

2nd Avenue Reconstruction Project The City of Worthington is reconstructing 2nd Avenue to improve street and sidewalk conditions as well as sewer and water infrastructure. Please visit the project website to learn more, view the project map, and sign up for email updates.
